Rivers have always been very important elements influencing the way that urban spaces are shaped. Recently, cities all over the world, focus more on that influence and move their social and cultural lives to river banks and boulevards. What role does a river play in a modern city and what role could it play? How do we make use of Oder’s potential in transport and sailing and do we create an opportunity for tourism and recreation around the river? Is Wroclaw one of the cities that turns towards its river?
